Founding and Mission
enerpeak was founded with a clear conviction: Germany needs significantly more storage capacity to achieve the energy transition. The recently approved scenario framework of the Federal Network Agency provides for 68 GW of battery storage by 2037. With a current capacity of 2-3 GW, this means an annual increase of over 5 GW. This means that the current pace of expansion must increase tenfold. We founded enerpeak to close this gap.

What we do
From our headquarters in Munich, we develop utility-scale battery storage throughout Germany: from site acquisition to permitting and grid connection, through to turnkey construction and long-term operation. Whether as standalone large storage systems at medium, high, or extra-high voltage levels, in collaboration with municipal utilities, PV and wind farm operators, or for large industrial consumers; we create tailored storage solutions to meet the demands of the energy market. Our pipeline currently includes over 2 GW of confirmed grid reservations and contracts nationwide.

Personal Motivation
Behind enerpeak is an entrepreneur-led management team that combines decades of experience in the energy industry, corporate development, engineering, and finance. Since 2023, we have focused on battery storage and aim to not only develop projects but to manage them end-to-end: project development, technical design, EPC management, operations management, and asset optimization.

Markus Bodenmeier
CEO, Technical Executive
Markus is responsible for the technical side of enerpeak. As an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in compandy buildung, he brings a rare combination of engineering expertise and entrepreneurial drive. He founded a construction and automation company during his studies, working with clients such as BMW, Siemens, and Infineon. Later, he coordinated the merger and IPO of Telefónica O2, led the IPO of HPI AG, and built one of Europe’s leading fleet management companies. At enerpeak, he defines the company’s delivery and implementation capabilities.
Dr. Stefan Seipl
CEO, Commercial Executive
Stefan leads the commercial side of enerpeak. As a former top manager at E.ON, he brings extensive experience in energy markets. As an entrepreneur, he drives renewable energies and flexibility solutions forward. He is a member of several supervisory boards in the energy sector and beyond. Stefan’s strategic leadership and passion for the energy industry shape enerpeak’s growth and positioning.
Markus Hasinger
Commercial Director, Head of Legal
Markus has over 25 years of experience in multinational corporations, medium-sized companies, and start-ups. For more than a decade, he has been working as an entrepreneur and business founder, with particular expertise in commercial management and organizational development. At enerpeak, he establishes the legal and operational framework of the company and its daugther companies.
Alexander Brinkschulte
Director Sales, Head of Business Development
Alexander brings over 15 years of experience in leadership positions. As a former managing director of a leading sales and consulting company with over 200 employees, he has extensive expertise in organizational development and sales strategy. Additional experience in investment fund development rounds out his profile. At enerpeak, he drives organizational growth, sales strategy, and customer relations.
William Shen
Director Procurement and Engineering
William brings a background in automation technology and law. With over 15 years of experience in procurement for the electrical, industrial, and automotive sectors, as well as more than 7 years in industrial M&A, he strengthens enerpeak’s supplier relationships and technical implementation. He ensures that the BESS projects are realized efficiently and with high quality.
